Hassam Khan Wazir

Hassam is a PhD student working at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering at the Mechanical, Controls, and Robotics Laboratory (MCRL). His research interests include machine learning, signal analysis, sensor integration, and human-robot interaction. Currently, he is exploring techniques for acoustic event detection and the classification of speech pathology.

He received his Master's degree from New York University in 2018 and Bachelor's degree from Institut Teknologi Brunei, Brunei in 2014. His past work includes exploring computer vision techniques to detect and track objects using a smartphone as well as integrating an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) testbed with a virtual environment for experimentation.
