Veena was a doctoral candidate in Mechatronics, Controls, and Robotics Laboratory at NYU Tandon School of Engineering since 2016. After the completion of her Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Mechatronics from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India in 2012, she worked as a research fellow at the Aerospace Department, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Her Ph.D. dissertation was on mechatronic and robotic solutions for neurorehabilitation. As part of the dissertation, she was developing rehabilitation and assistive devices in the Mechatronics, Controls, and Robotics Laboratory at NYU. She was also serving as a research assistant under an NSF-funded DR K-12 research project to promote the integration of robotics in middle school science and math education. Her areas of interest were computer vision, machine learning, neural network, control system, mechatronics, and robotics.
