Nishtha joined Mechatronics, Robotics, and Controls Laboratory at New York University from Fall 2020. She graduated from the Indian Institute of Science with Masters in Instrumentation and Applied Physics, in 2020. She has also worked with Indraprastha Gas Limited in the division of SCADA and Automation after pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, University of Delhi. She has previously worked on Surface Acoustic Wave Filters, Embedded Systems Design, Control Systems, Sensors and Transducers, Micro, Nano Characterization, and Internet of Things. Her versatile experience and academic engagements acted as precursors to realize her dream of pursuing research in robotics. She aims to work on robotics applications in education and healthcare during her PhD with the hope that her research will bring remarkable changes and benefit society.
Besides academics, she has actively participated in sports events and won laurels for her University. She loves to play table tennis and cricket.
