Christian Lourido

Christian is a Ph.D. student in the Mechatronics, Controls, and Robotics Laboratory (MCRL) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering since Fall 2020. In 2011, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from University Tecnólogico de Monterrey, Mexico. He worked as an Automation Engineer for five years in Ecuador and the US, and later, in Fall 2019, he earned a Master’s degree in Mechatronics and Robotics from New York University, Tandon School of Engineering. His research interests are in STEM education research, robot perception, dynamics and control, and embedded systems, with a focus on low-cost and open-source developments.
