Applying Mechatronics to Promote Science / Central Brooklyn Robotics Initiative (AMPS / CBRI)
A number of fellowships are available for students who are
- Full time students, and
- US citizens or permanent residents
These Fellowships provide an annual stipend of up to $30,000 plus tuition support, as follows:
- AMPS Fellowships (funded by NSF) are available for second, third, or fourth year doctoral students or second year research based masters students.
- CBRI Fellowships funded trough philanthropic foundations are available for second year research-based masters students, and for first year doctoral students.
Fellows are required to spend 10-15 hours per week on AMPS/CBRI activities which includes sharing their research with K-12 students and engaging them in structured pre-engineering activities through the uses of sensors, robotics, and mechatronics.

Please be aware that
- Funding is restricted by the sponsors to US citizens and permanent residents. We can not change the sponsors rules.
- Fellows must be full time students.
- Fellows can not hold any other employment.
- Fellows must have research advisers.
- Fellows must be in good academic standing, and making good progress on their research.
